Launching this spring during May is Bike Month, the ASUCD Bike Barn will be piloting an e-bike demo ride program! To build awareness of the deep discounts available through the UCOP e-bike purchase program, which brings some bikes down to only $800, we will be organizing group rides around campus to get riders excited about these cool new bikes. The Bike Barn is currently stocking Velotric e-bikes including the Go 1, Packer 1, Discover 1, and T1 ST. All other models are available to order. While we are not stocking Dirwin, Lectric, and Ride1Up from the UC program these bikes can be ordered and built by the Bike Barn. These e-bikes are fun, fast, reliable, powerful, and can be useful tools to promote active mobility for the campus community. They are all feature rich, including things like built-in lights, fenders, FindMyiPhone technology, and more, meaning you get more bike for your buck. Several models can easily be equipped to safely transport another passenger, or large amounts of gear or groceries, with ease! The options are nearly endless.

Rides will be organized twice weekly (Tuesday 12-1pm & Wednesday 3-4pm) throughout Spring Quarter. The dates and times will change quarterly. Sign up will be done on a 1st come, 1st served basis, through this online form. If your schedule doesn’t allow you to participate in a scheduled demo ride, you can still stop by anytime during our open hours to take a bike for a test ride on your own. To encourage participation, every demo rider will be entered into our quarterly raffle to win prizes! Prizes include a 1 year service plan ($100 value), a set of magnetic bike lights ($55 value), new grips ($25), a new saddle ($35), a pump ($55), and more! All riders will have to fill out the following UC General Waiver before participating. This will be completed in person before the ride.
