Need a new bike for the 2025-26 school year but don’t want to wait in line or compromise on style? The ASUCD Bike Barn is here to help! Pick out a new bike of your choice and some awesome accessories online, then place your order to secure your new bike for pickup once you get to campus!

There are many advantages to buying a bike from the Bike Barn! We have been experts in campus transportation for over 50 years, allowing us to curate a selection of bikes that hold up to the demands of daily riding and allow you to focus on your education! We offer a wide range of bike models including comfortable cruisers, quick single speeds, practical city bikes, and affordable e-bikes! Our shop is student-run and our friendly mechanics are happy to help you discuss what might work best for you.

All of our bicycles are built with care and attention to detail to ensure safety and long-term reliability. For peace of mind, all new bikes come with a complimentary one-year Elite Service Plan ($175 value) to cover maintenance needs in your first year of bike ownership! This includes unlimited free labor on your bicycle, on-the-spot accessory install, same-day flat repair, and half off rental bikes. The one-year Elite Service Plan can be upgraded to multiple years; see the chart at the bottom of this page for more information. In addition, all of the bikes we sell come pre-registered with the University Bike Index in compliance with campus requirements, so you don't need to worry about registering it before you start riding. UC Davis staff, students, and faculty can pick up a free helmet (subject to availability) at the Bike Barn through the Helmet Hair Don’t Care program. Fill out the survey ahead of time to get your free helmet.

So how does our online bike buy work?

1. Browse our selection of new bikes  and select a model you are interested in. If you have questions, call the shop to chat with a mechanic about what bike and accessories might work best for you.
   1. Refer to the manufacturer's website (hyperlinked on each item color) for sizing information on the model you are interested in. Bike Barn mechanics can help advise you on an appropriate size, but are not ultimately responsible for fit.
2. Take a look at accessories and decide if you want us to add any of these to your order. The right accessories make a world of difference for daily commuting and running errands; we're always happy to provide some suggestions for what works well in Davis.
3. Consider extending your service plan. Every new bike purchase includes our Elite 1-Year Service Plan, designed to make your first year of riding as smooth as possible. This includes unlimited free labor, on-the-spot accessory installs, same-day flat repair, and half off rental bikes. Check out the table below to view our service plans extensions. 
4. Decide when you would like to pick up your bike. Please note that all orders require at least 2 weeks to prepare and we may have to adjust your preferred pickup time based on product availability and demand.
5. Be prepared with the following information before you call to place your order: bike model, color, and size; desired accessories (lights, lock, fenders, basket, etc); rider name, phone number, and email address; and payment card information.
6. When you're ready to order, call us at 530-752-2575 from 10am-5pm Monday through Friday to place your order. Any of our qualified student-mechanics will be happy to answer any questions you might have, and will also be able to help you place your order once ready. See you in September!

Starting at just $50 for another year, our Basic and Elite plans provide coverage for up to 4 years. With either option, you'll get unlimited free labor on any maintenance or repair—just pay for parts and accessories. It's a great way to save on future service costs and ensure your bike stays in top shape for years to come.
