Moo-ve In Week at the Bike Barn
What to Expect?
We will be open for our usual hours Monday-Friday 10am to 5pm. We recommend getting here early to beat the heat and the crowds.
We will also be hosting the Moo-ve In Bike Fair Tuesday 9/15 to Thursday 9/17, featuring a variety of vendors and campus units! Come learn about bikes, locks, and more!
Moo-ve In at the Bike Barn is our busiest week of year! In order to help as many people as possible our services will be slightly modified. See below for what we offer during Moo-ve In:
Buying a bike in person
- Come choose from our selection of traditional bikes, Velotric e-bikes, Brompton folding bikes, and used refurbished bikes. We will be offering test rides of all of our models!
Need your current bike serviced?
- If you have a small issue, we offer quick on-the-spot mechanical assistance during Moo-ve In. If you need your bike fully tuned up or you need a specific repair (ex: flat repair), we'd recommend coming in before or after Moo-ve In to avoid the long lines. Our usual repair schedule will pause during Moove-In week and will resume on Wednesday 9/23 (the first day of Fall Quarter!)
Purchasing accessories for your bike
- We offer a wide variety of accessories for sale, including lights, locks, baskets, and racks. All bikes purchased from the Bike Barn come with complimentary accessory installs. If you are bringing a bike to campus, we offer accessory installs for a small labor fee.
Picking up your Presale Bike
- If you purchased a Presale Bike in advance, you can pick it up on your scheduled day at our Bike Pick-Up Window on the East side of the Bike Barn. Just bring your email receipt!
Other resources we offer during Moo-ve In Week:
- Free helmet distribution through Helmet Hair Don't Care (fill out their Safety Pledge in advance!)
- Service Plans: Purchase a plan to get free bike maintenance during your time at Davis.
What DON'T we offer?
- Bike Registration: Although all of our bikes come pre-registered, if you have your own bike that needs to be registered, that happens through the Department of Transportation Services.
- On-Site Parking: We are located across the street from the Silo Bus Terminal. We can easily be reached by foot, bike, and bus. If you are driving, there are several Visitor Parking Lots nearby (Note: parking may be subject to Moo-ve In Week limitations and requirements)
- Lit Not Hit: Unfortunately, the free light distribution program is no longer available due to funding limits.
